Wow, Isabella is 18 months old. Over the last several months, Isabella mastered walking. There's no stopping her now and she sprints from room to room, loves to dance and launches herself over obstacles.
Currently, she's getting ready to start talking. She has about a dozen words mastered (Moma, Dada, Yaya (her name for my mom), more, up, down, NO!, Yeah, dog, chair, Elmo, Ernie, shoe, Amie (Hung taught her this and she says it softly and cautiously), and snow. Each day, she repeats something new. This new parrot is making me very aware of what I'm saying. It is also incredible how much she is observing. Yesterday, while I was unloading the dishwasher, I pulled out a coffee cup my mom had used while visiting, Isabella looked at it and said Ya-Ya. Next, I grabbed a wooden spoon Hung uses to stir his tea and she said Dada. I was shocked that she had assigned ownership to the items we were using.
