Day Three

Day Three was a repositioning day for Team Bui. Before rushing out of DC, in an effort to beat the infamous Beltway traffic, we stopped at a DC sandwich chain called Potbelly's. We had read some very positive reviews about Potbelly's on Yelp! (very neat iPhone application that provides customer reviews of restaurants and bars based upon your location) and didn't want to leave without a sample. Upon entering the store on Connecticut Ave., we were greeted by a long line of young people in suits. The shop was bustling! Hung and I decided to split a sandwich called "The Wreck". The Wreck is a toasty sandwich piled with Salami, Roast Beef, Ham, Turkey, and Swiss! The sandwich was awesome...this is not your typical chain sandwich.

Hung is happy to sample "The Wreck"

Of course I couldn't resist the package of Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies. Someone had mentioned the ooey gooey morsels and I was sold before I even saw them. Besides we needed snacks for the road!

A Dozen Mini Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies..mmmm!

At 2 pm, we were in the car, once again heading North. Even in the middle of the afternoon, traffic was bad! We were stop-and-go on the highway for the first hour of our drive. I shudder when I think about 5pm on those same roads.

Just after 7pm, we were pulling up in front of my brother's apartment building in Nyack, New York.
